Bengaluru Dance Instructor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor

In a disturbing incident in Bengaluru, a 28YR dance teacher was apprehended by authorities on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl inside a car. The arrest took place following a complaint lodged by the victim’s family, who reported the incident to the local police. 

The accused, identified as Bharathi Kannan, allegedly lured the minor under the pretext of providing dance lessons. According to police reports, the assault occurred when the instructor took the girl to a secluded location in his vehicle. The victim, a student of the accused, managed to inform her family, who promptly approached the authorities. The incident took place on May 24 in the Kadugodi area.

The Bengaluru police acted swiftly, registering a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The suspect was taken into custody, and investigations are underway to determine if there are additional victims or related incidents. 

Authorities have seized the vehicle involved and are examining forensic evidence to strengthen the case. The police have also urged parents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour involving minors.

This incident has sparked outrage in the local community, with calls for stricter monitoring of individuals working closely with children. The investigation continues as the police work to ensure justice for the victim.
